To this day, their legacy remains strong in each new portal opened in reverence to this ancient tradition: The Gates of Silk Hubs will never be forgotten.
The vastness of the unknown galaxy was extraordinary and awe-inspiring. Humanity had achieved a remarkable feat by developing interstellar travel hubs, or “hubs” as they came to be known.
These hubs were the safest places in the galaxy; nowhere else could one find such solace from danger.
However, at hub 1424, something sinister had occurred that no one knew about – a dark secret lurking beneath its surface.
